1:00PM 1:15PM 1:30PM 1:45PM How To: Real-Time APIs. Guest Speaker Groovy CEO Joe Ward 2:00PM 2:15PM 4:00PM |
Think you have a great idea for an app, or real-time stream integration?
This MySpace devJam is a great way to turn the ideas you’ve been thinking about into something real and live on the site. The objective is to create something interesting, preferably that you can enter in our developer contest – MySpace Developer Challenge, by the end of the day. It’s also a chance to get feedback from your peers and help from the MySpace Developer team. We recently opened up our data by releasing a suite of free-to-use APIs that we hope will inspire the developer community to create innovative applications. To celebrate, we’ve launched the MySpace Developer Challenge, a competition aimed at encouraging further development from our partners. Come to this hackathon style event, learn about the contest, meet our team, and hack away with us! Here are some of the coding sessions we're planning on, but feel free to come and work with us on whatever you'd like.
1. Real-time coding session lead by Activity Streams Group Architect Monica Keller and Joe Ward, CEO of Groovy Corp. 2. Apps coding session, featuring OSML, lead by Architect Chris Cole 3. Mobile coding session lead by Senior Architect Chak Nanga
UPDATE: As a special bonus, Groovy Corp. will offer 10 developers at the devJam 10,000 bi-directional private data channels (user connections) and 25MB of Cloud Write access to their service for free! Additional thanks to Groovy for being the sponsor of our Social Hour at the end of the event.
